In school we are providing instrument lessons for a wide range of pupils.
All the children in Y3 are being given the opportunity to learn recorder, Y4 are learning clarinet and Y5 are continuing with their brass lessons. We do hope that these free lessons will inspire the children to go on to take up an instrument. Opportunity on any instrument, understanding the need to practice, and beginning to read music – even if it is not on their choice of instrument, will stand them in good stead for further musical activities.
The opportunity for individual and small group lessons include the following instruments:
Violin, cello, guitar, drums, keyboard, flute, clarinet, saxophone, recorder, brass.
Staff and other adults offer a wide range of out-of-school activities. These provide opportunities for the children to enrich their education and experience outside normal school sessions.
