Precautions in school

We have clear precautions in place in the school and the vast majority of children have been excellent in following these. Clearly, the news over the weekend makes it even more important that every member of the community meets these expectations.

As a reminder, children should:

  • wash hands with soap and water often – do this for at least 20 seconds
  • use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available
  • wash hands as soon as you get home
  • cover mouth and nose with a tissue or sleeve (not your hands) when coughing or sneezing
  • put used tissues in the bin immediately and wash hands or sanitise afterwards

We also ask for your continued support by ensuring that when dropping off and collecting your child from school you:

  • Observe the 2 metre social distancing rule.
  • Wear a face mask when on the school site.
  • Leave the site as quickly and safely as possible.
  • Do not gather around the school gates/block the pavement outside school.
  • Avoid taking other children home for ‘Play Dates’
  • Teachers will not discuss issues at the school gate – please check your email daily and use the email for communicating to staff.
  • No mobile phones to be used on site.
